Qualifications

The ACT Swimming Pool Barrier Inspector Course is designed to provide a range of knowledge, skills and competencies that go towards a student’s application to become an Authorised Person in the ACT.

Undertaking the Aquatic Technical Operators Course enables industry participants to gain the skills and expertise needed to supervise and manage an aquatic facility as a certified pool operator. This includes technical skills on the operation of plant and associated equipment and water quality maintenance procedures.

The Certificate III in Landscape Construction offers comprehensive training in various areas, encompassing building techniques, concrete work, and the construction of brick, block, and stone structures and features. Additionally, it covers the installation of drainage systems, the execution of paving and retaining wall projects, and the art of plant selection.

This qualification provides a pathway to work in a diverse range of retail settings including specialty retailers, supermarkets, department stores and food and beverage outlets.

This qualification provides the individual with the competencies required to routinely maintain swimming pools and spas in domestic, commercial and public settings.

The Certificate in Swimming Pool & Spa Service (certified program) has been designed to provide students with a tertiary-level education, delivered by SPASA’s training division, the Institute of Research and Learning (IRLearning).

This qualification reflects work undertaken by individuals who build and install swimming pools and spas. The work covers a range of trade-related skills associated with in-ground and above-ground pools and spas, as well as planning and project management skills.

This is a qualification for people working in the swimming pool and spa service sector. It applies to pool and spa technicians in the field who apply analytic and problem-solving skills to treat water quality problems, as well as install, service and repair the key systems and components of domestic, commercial and public swimming pools and spas.

If you want to be registered as a Swimming Pool Inspector in NSW, you can complete our QLD Pool Safety Inspections Course and apply for mutual recognition with the NSW Office of Fair Trading, or complete the relevant pathway.
